About the Role
We are looking for a product-minded Full-Stack Developer who can take a feature from idea to production.
You will work across frontend, backend, APIs, databases and deployment while helping us build and improve the core Confessit.lol experience.
This is a high-ownership role. You will not only work on isolated tickets — you may own complete features such as feeds, interactions, notifications, moderation tools, application systems, performance improvements and new product experiments.
We are an early-stage startup, so we move fast, experiment often and expect engineers to take responsibility for what they build.

Interview Process
Stage 1 — Application Review
We review your resume, portfolio, GitHub and projects.
Stage 2 — Technical Conversation
A practical discussion about React, Next.js, JavaScript, APIs, databases and projects you have actually built.
We care more about how you think than memorized definitions.
Stage 3 — Practical Evaluation
A small real-world coding/problem-solving exercise or discussion around an existing project.
We do not want candidates spending days on unpaid assignments.
Stage 4 — Founder / Final Discussion
Discussion around ownership, startup culture, communication, availability, compensation and what you want to build.
Responsibilities
Build production features using Next.js, React and TypeScript Develop responsive interfaces using Tailwind CSS and modern CSS Build and maintain backend APIs and server-side functionality Work with databases, authentication/session systems and data models Improve feed performance, caching and data-fetching architecture Build posts, comments, reactions, reports and notification features Develop internal moderation and administration tools Optimize application performance and Core Web Vitals Identify and fix production bugs Write clean, reusable and maintainable code Participate in product and architecture decisions Review code and help improve engineering standards Ship frequently and monitor features after release
Requirements
Strong JavaScript and TypeScript fundamentals Experience with React.js and Next.js Good HTML5 and CSS3 fundamentals Experience with Tailwind CSS Understanding of REST APIs Git and GitHub Responsive web design Database fundamentals Understanding of client-side and server-side rendering Ability to build and deploy real web applications Ability to convert product requirements into working features Independent debugging and problem solving Readable and maintainable coding practices Comfort working in an early-stage remote startup Clear async communication Ability to take ownership of features after release Good to have: PostgreSQL Supabase Node.js Next.js App Router React Server Components Authentication and session management Realtime applications Push notifications PWA development Redis or caching Cloud deployment Vercel / AWS or similar platforms Analytics and monitoring Web security fundamentals
