Refunds & Cancellations
What we refund, what we cannot, and how to ask for one. Every payment on this site is processed by our payment partner; we never see or store your card details. Dodo Payments acts as the merchant of record: the payment invoice you receive is Dodo's, and Dodo accounts for the tax due where you are. Your receipt and your Wall of Supporters listing come from us.
1. Donations
A donation is voluntary and one-time. The amount range accepted at any moment is shown on the form you paid through — it is not fixed here, because we adjust it.
- •Full refund if you were charged twice, if you did not authorise the payment, or if the payment was captured while the site told you it had failed.
- •No refund for a completed donation you have simply changed your mind about. A donation is a gift, and the money goes to running the site.
2. Sponsored campaigns
A campus campaign is bought for a price, an impression quota and a flight length — all three are shown on the sponsor page at the moment you buy, and they are the numbers your refund is measured against.
- •Cancel before the flight starts — full refund, on request.
- •We cannot deliver the quota or the days you paid for — the undelivered part is refunded pro-rata, without you having to ask twice.
- •Impressions already delivered are not refundable. Delivery is counted by our servers, not by a screenshot.
3. How to ask
- 1. Find your invoice number. Every sponsorship has one at /sponsor/invoice/<number>; for a donation it is in the confirmation mail you received.
- 2. Write to [email protected] within 7 days of the charge, with the invoice number, the amount and the date.
- 3. We reply within 2 working days. An approved refund goes back to the same payment method it came from; how quickly it appears there is your bank's or your payment partner's timeline, typically 5–7 working days.
4. Something not covered here
Write to [email protected] and we will decide it as a person, not a policy. Formal complaints and content takedowns have their own channel on the grievance page. See also our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
