About the Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented Data Analytics Intern who enjoys exploring datasets, identifying trends, and translating numbers into actionable insights.
You will learn how data analytics supports product development, audience engagement, and business growth.
The internship involves practical learning projects using aggregated or synthetic datasets, SQL analysis, reporting, and dashboard creation.
Internship Details:
- Type: Unpaid educational internship (₹0 stipend)
- Location: Remote, India
- Duration: 8–12 weeks
- Commitment: Approximately 8–12 hours per week
- Experience: Freshers and entry-level candidates
Responsibilities
- Assist in analyzing aggregated website traffic and product engagement. - Help monitor metrics such as visits, posts, comments, reactions, and community activity. - Learn to define product KPIs and explain their business significance. - Create simple dashboards and reports using Excel, Google Sheets, or visualization tools. - Analyze aggregate campus-level activity and engagement trends. - Support analysis of how users discover content and participate in discussions. - Help understand engagement funnels and visitor behaviour using privacy-safe datasets. - Write SQL queries for data extraction and analysis in approved environments. - Identify trends, unexpected changes, and potential improvement opportunities. - Prepare weekly analytical summaries with charts and observations. - Learn about retention metrics, cohort analysis, and product experiments. - Present findings and practical recommendations clearly.
Requirements
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets. - Familiarity with SQL and simple database queries. - Understanding of basic statistics, percentages, and averages. - Ability to organize, clean, and interpret datasets. - Familiarity with charts and data visualization. - Logical thinking and attention to detail. - Basic written reporting and communication skills. - Willingness to learn product analytics and data storytelling. - At least one academic or personal analytics project is preferred. **Good to have:** Python, pandas, NumPy, Power BI, Looker Studio, PostgreSQL, Google Analytics concepts, funnel analysis, cohort analysis, and dashboard design.
