Join Confessit.lol as a Backend / API Developer and help build reliable systems behind an anonymous social platform.
You will work on APIs, databases, moderation, abuse prevention, rate limiting, notifications, reliability and scalability.
This role is suited to an engineer who thinks beyond the happy path: how systems behave when requests fail, traffic grows, abusive activity occurs or datasets become large.
We value curiosity, ownership and strong problem-solving fundamentals more than memorized interview answers.
Responsibilities
Design and maintain backend APIs. Build reliable database schemas and queries. Develop APIs for posts, comments, reactions and reports. Implement validation and secure server-side business logic. Build moderation and abuse-prevention systems. Implement rate limiting and anti-spam controls. Improve database performance and indexing. Work on notification infrastructure. Improve logging and production monitoring. Handle background and scheduled jobs. Collaborate with frontend engineers on API contracts. Identify reliability and security issues. Help design scalable architecture as usage grows.
Requirements
